Duoz2 Installed In V1.6 With Some Odd Problems
« on: August 10, 2006, 06:12:00 AM »

hey. i just got my xboxv1.6 installed with the duox2 gs with cromwell with the rebuild kit. i put the evoxm8+ bios on and everything seemed great. i also had an old 250 gig hd laying around so i thought id use it. ok i got the new hd installed. however when i used my slayers 2.6 disk and i installed evox, xbmc and other apps like halfway during the install it would either lock up or sometimes just randomly reboot. well after about 7 trys i finally got everything installed couldnt of been hapier. so now when ever i scroll down the menu options in evox it just randomly reboots sometimes. heres what i was thinking could be the problem, when i put the dvd drive in the (BT) wire touching the pwr/ejct board was alittle but pinched, or im thinking it could be the hd becuase i had so many problems trying to write files on the f drive, even when i tryed ftping it my ftp program locked up.sence thats the case i dont think its the dvd drive, or im wondering if it has anything to do with the (D0) on the chip. btw when the chip is on it flashes red is this normal? sorry for the lengthy post, i just need some answers. biggrin.gif

sad.gif ok well i unsoldered the rebuild kit which was a pain and i used wires to do the rebuild but im still having the same problems. im almost positive its the hdd also when ever i go into the msdash and click on xbox-live tab or sometimes the settings tab my xbox reboots the hacked bios or comes up with error 13 i think i need a new hdd i still get the error problem in the ms dash on the stock hdd but no other problems could it be my slayers disk? the xbox also locks up when ever i ftp files to the f drive
