Hi guys,

I've just successfully installed a white DuoX 2 into a v1.1 XBox (currently also have an Xecutor 3CE in my 1.6 box), and it successfully boots first time. I've set it to bank 1 ready for flashing via the network.

However, according to this website http://www.fixnchipz.co.uk/page10.html

(very useful guide, thanks Chancer), it recommends the X2 4979 version bios or later.......

But checking the 'usual source', the latest I can find on it is 4978?! What do I do!!!

Thanks for that! Just after I posted my post, I looked in all of the directories and finally found that version of the bios hidden away.

Just flashed the bios via http and its working perfectly

Really? Thats unlucky. I got mine next day delivery, and it was cheap too!

Just finished installing the dash, a couple of emulators, etc.

Working great so far, very happy with it for £10.50!

4978 would have worked on a version 1.1
I am in the process of updating and re building the site and have written a lot more guides on chips and install. Will still be about 3 weeks to completion though
