you still have to solder the female pinheader to the chip so it might work after that but yo;u still have to solder

Yes you can make it work with the solderless adapter, but you still have to solder (Soldering on the female pin header, and modifying the solderless adapter).
  Considering that work is just as challenging as actually soldering in the chip you might as well just solder it.
