Also I should burn a 512k bios for the blank that is selected on this chip, correct?

Duox2 have 512kb banks not 256kb or 1mb.  The only way to fix the bad flashed bank is to boot into the Cromwell bank and before flashing it move the switch to the bad bank so it flashes the bad one.  Either use Xe 5035 or X2 4981 for your bios.
