Cant Flash Cromwell 2.32 With Boot Cd, Details Inside

I just tried installing both the samsung and my dvd drive in the machine.  They both detected fine and my samsung now reads correctly as a sdg-605B.  It also givesme the possibility to boot from dvd drive A or dvd drive B.  I tried loading with the samsung, and it now reads the disc.  But then it gets stuck at the same place,

Is it possible my motherboard was messed up in the psu blow up?

I burned a full speed no name cdr copy of eurasia 1.2 and it got to the starting linux dialogue (kernel 2.4.20)

Then it just stops at the "Starting Linux" at the bottom.
