A Few Duox2 Gs White Questions

1. No the HDD does not get erased when flashing the chip
2. Wire BT to the eject button or to the alternate BT point (in my sig). If you wire it to pin 9 it means the chip is always enabled no matter which button you boot with on the Xbox
3.Flashbios will work ok on your version, in order for you to re-flash the chip with a hacked bios

Oh and in addition, I used an IDE ribbon cable as my 30 gauge wire replacement. I remember reading that it was ok to do this, but could it be this that is contributing to the problem?

If it FRAGs both ways this would indicate damage to the D0 point. You will need good light and a strong magnifier to inspect it for any burning of cracks etc

The wire is not the problem but the damage to the D0 almost certainly is.
To repair this you need to connect a wire from the alternate D0 to the upper D0 trace.
