OK i'm going to start from scratch and give the full story cause I have messed up 5 BIOS's so far and been through 3 chips.

OK I softmodded my xbox before I got the chips just because i was curious about softmodding. Everything was working fine on the softmod. Then I got the DuoX2 (cromwell/flashbios) and flashed the wrong size BIOS onto it... My mistake thats fine I will fix it up witth the other BIOS. So I booted eurasia and flashed it but forgot to switch the bank so it flashed my cromwell. but that was fine cause I was sure this would work and it seemed to at first booted up with the Xecuter rocks my Box logo and I thought it was all good but for some reason it only got to the flash screen and never loaded my dashboard.

So I thought the flash was bad so I bought another 2 DuoX chips threw one in and somehow I did something wrong to one of them and it just doesnt boot up. no flashing light at all. soldering is fine etc. I thought ahh wtf there only cheap chips get what you pay for.

Now I'm onto my 3rd chip and put it in everything seemed fine and flashed it in flashbios using the CD method with a 512kb bios which was downloaded from xbins and recommended multiple places on this forum for my version/chip. After flashing everything seemed to go fine Xbox turned off I turned it back on and same thing as first time. Flashscreen loads but it still WONT LOAD TO BIOS!!!

I'm not sure if I have done something wrong with creating the dummy file (100mb) messed something up with the BIOS or if its because I did something while softmodding the XBOX.

I really need help on this its starting to get very frustrating. I am determined to get this thing chipped and it is giving me the shits.

I have a version 1.2 xbox

can someone please give me some idea?

use an install cd like slayers or aid 3.0/3.01 to install a dashboard and i would use it to restore the stock c: drive then install your dash using the cd because softmodded dashes usually don't load straight off.

If the flashscreen still comes up then you have not successfully flashed the bios yet..
Check the bios you have is not another copy of flashbios and re-flash it.
What bios exactly did you try to flash?
The AID thing comes after you flash a hacked bios so worry about that once you are past this bit.

Try flshing the Xecuter2 4981 instead...I've had issues with the 5035 and the stupid ini file it comes with (specially if you had a softmod before, you should remove the softmod and then install the chip, or install the chip and then boot to an auto installer so you can reinstall the software)

Yeah, from what your describing it sounds like you don't have a dashboard (properly) installed... Like Leaf_Killer said, use an auto-installer to re-install the M$ dash files and a dashboard.

Can't install a dash yet if the above quote from his post is accurate.
If he still gets the Flashbios screen the chip ain't flashed yet.

I don't think its flashbios he's getting, but rather the splash (not flash) screen with the X logo.. as per:
