Just installed a mod chip

i get:-
Flashing red led on the chip
Xbox turns on, off, then on for quick press
and
Xbox turns strait on for long press

Any Help please

The chip is suppose to flash red.  that means it is enabled.  Sounds like you messed up on the soldering if it is fragging on you.

To enable/disable the chip it is not long press or short press (both do the same).  Pressing power enables the chip, eject disables from the powered off state.

The flashing red light does not mean the chip is enabled but merely that its getting power..But definitely check your soldering. The fact the it boots when you hold down the power button but frags if you tap it makes no sense because of the way the chip works, if anything if you do a really quick tap of the power button it tends to boot with chip disabled (although its not supposed to) and holding the power button chip on...I would check to make sure you have the BT in the right place or is making contact with something else.  

What happens when you boot it up with the eject button?

More info needed here including details of how you installed it, wire, Pinheader, direct solder etc. Xbox version?

Do you mean it still boots the original MS bios ok but not the chip.

well this is weird
I tested to see if it was the soldering on the DuoX consant on. so i cut that and put it on the BT point kinda the same but it would frag about 1/5 try's which i thought which was weird so i conected it back up the consant ON and It works fine about 1 in 20 it frags

so have you got any idear's about that ??
