My 13-year old son wanted to do a mod all by himself (without my physical help, verbal advice he'd accept). Anyway right off the bat he flashed the wrong bios to the DuoX2 Cromwell Edition chip. Don't remember which bios, but it was too large.

How (if possible) do I get Flashbios 3.03 back onto the chip, in order to flash a correct bios to it? I tried their website but no info on "re-flashing" or "recovery".

By the way, I gave him another DuoX2 that I previously flashed, and his mod was successful (good solder points and all). He can't wait to give it another go.

Just hotswap the chips to flash or switch to the other bank and use eurasia to flash a hacked bios to the corrupt bank by flicking the switch just before the flash.
I wouldn't go down the route of trying to put flashbios back on as you still have the extra step then to flash a hacked bios.
the method of getting flashbios back on is the same as getting a hacked bios on it now.

Thanks for the info Chancer. I knew about the hotswap, but my son modded that box for a friend of his. Ours have an X3 & a Xenium. Didn't know if you could hotswap with either of those. I'm gonne try the other bank/eurasia technique.

just use bank 0 to load cromwell and then flick the bank switch and flash whatever bios you want to bank 1.  You don't need to put back on flash bios to flash bank 1 as all.
  If you have a duox2 lite then you learned you lesson and will spend the extra $0.50 next time to have dual banks, but for now you would have to fine someone to hotswap with.

i jus tried flashing with eurasia as i have done many times
but with this 1 chip i got it says unknown flash type,
even though the chip type is supported.
any ideas?
can i reflash with a old matrix/chameleon programmer?
