Could the length of the traces be an issue? Stramge that it boots when cold but when it warms up refuses to.

errors 13 and 14 relate to dashboard.  Have you tried reformatting the HD and reinstall the dashboards?

Have reloaded XBMC and am still having the issue.
I have resoldered all the joints for the chip.
I shortened the two traces for the Duox Lite chip.

Is it possible that this could be a faulty chip or bad installation?

When the chip is not working it comes up with the error.
When it is working it obviously boots without any problem?

Don't waste any more time on the chip install.
If the error only comes up with the chip disabled it is nothing to do with the chip.
The error is an error with the original dash files.
You need to re-install the complete MS dash files to C: and make sure when you have that the drive is locked.
Error 13 is often a corrupt or missing Xboxdashdata folder.
If all you did was re-install XBMc then you still have not re-installed the MS dash. Its on the auto installer and very easy to do.
