ok my question is can i just install the male peice through the mobo into the female for easy removal??
I dont think so but i thought id ask...

if not whats the purpose of the male and female pieces???

THat is the whole point of a pin header.  You install the male part on the mobo and the female part on the chip.  THat way if you ever need to swap chips, it is sure easy to do.
