Hi, any help on this would be much appreiciated. I bought 10 genuine duox 2 cromwell from divineo, omega's official distributor. I've tried flashing 5 of them. The install has gone smoothly everytime, flashbios and cromwell alway boot up no problem. I flash using flash bios on bank one and just before flashing i do the switch trick and change to bank 0. I hit enter, flashbios's yellow flash bar comes up, turns to green, then shuts down, all as it should. Then when i restart, the original bios is still there, or sometimes it frags, then after i flash again, the original bios is back. I have tried reflashing multiple bios's incuding evoxm8, 3935,x2 multi...none work. I have two xbox's, i have tried every thing mentioned on both. I have renamed all the bios's to "bios.bin". I can't think of anything else i could have done wrong. Flashbios automatically resizes evox m8plus which is 256kto 512k, correct?? Are all these chips bad? I'm near the end of my rope. please help,  thanks.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe it does. I believe you have to change the bios size to 512k before you flash the chip.

You are correct in your statement. The bios has to be resized to 512K
Most of the clones will flash with 256k but some will not flash at all.
Yours should not be clones from an official supplier, and they are easy to spot anyway

I think you ought to change the text in that link as it gives the impression that is your website and it is actually HackDaBox website.

okay thanks for the responses, i would really rather not use cromwell to flash. I've read on here before that if a chip won't falsh via http than it just won't flash. So is there a way to resizse a bios on a pc and then flash it over w/ flashbios?

also if i'm using the wrong sized bios, wouldn't that cause the bank to frag? thats not whats happening. after i reflash, the original cromwell bios is still there, i've even tried this process without doing the switch trick. I've tried reflashing directly over flashbios andafterwards same result, flashbios is still there....any ideas?

okay, thanks everybody. I got one chip working and i imagine the rest will follow. I thought i had read that the flashbios resized automatically, guess not. but i am again at a point where i'm confused... The first box i modded was w/ a X3, and its bios loaded uo w/o the hard drive present, x2 and m8plus don't. So i'll have to do some more studying, again thanks for the help, i thought i was doomed!!
