if i desolder the D0, will that disable the chip for now?
i dont want to have to hit eject every time

I read you posted this before about not soldering anything to BT and its always on, so curiousity got the better of me and I lifted the bT wire on a 1.6 and a 1.4 here.
The chips bios did NOT boot, it simply booted retail bios and dash. These were blue chips and maybe 3 to 6 months old, so not sure of any diferences in later chips. i may order some more to try as I have none of the GS type in.
