If you know someone with a modchip you can swap that person's with yours after booting the xbox, then running a modchip flashing program of some sort.

If you can run a raincoat flasher softmod exploit from the xbox dashboard when the modchip is in during boot, that might allow you to flash it.

Last resort might be to use xboxhdm to copy a fileset that in-cludes a softmod so that you can boot the system from the lpc then run a flasher, which should be able to flash the modchip.

Hi, For your problem with the 3 reboots then FRAG, did tthe screen say it flashed successfully ?]
because if it did, then it probably worked. Try pressing the eject button after the 3 reboots, right when before it starts to frag, and it should bring you to your bios, It's been mentioned on here before, it worked for me, maybe it'll work for you. I think its mayb a little voltage error with the xbox v1.0 because mine was fragging, then i pressed the eject button upon frag after the 3 reboots and the bios appeared..

hey its worth a try, let me know if it works. I think its justa problem with the bank and voltages probably, because mine still reboots 3 times then frags when i switch between banks 1 and 0, but all i do now is press eject button when the frag starts and it works, (assuming you soldered your BT wire to the front pcb)

As for your second part. After you install your chip and flash it, it will still go straight to MSDash because it doesn't have any other dashboard to load. Find which dashboard you want, make a boot disc, and go from there.

If sounds like you flashed it correctly there (maybe you used the M7 Bios whcich looks like the stock one or if it say Xecuter2 on the bottom of the screen during the big "X" animation then is the X2 bios)..Try booting an auto installer or back up games to see if it loads it.
