Duox 2 Cromwell
« on: April 12, 2006, 09:20:00 PM »

In team xbm4x's biohazard xbox we have just installed a DuoX2 Cromwell from sickmods, looks to be soldered correctly, used the pinheaders, but there is nothing on the tv screen and the xbox flashes Red and boots 3 times then flashs red and green. Any help? I would load pix up, but i can't find my camera cable.
I double checked all soldering and it looks good, but I havnt soldered the BT point yet, does this matter?
Cheers, Sam

Fragging (red/green) you described means the soldering is bad.  Your d0 is fine, but you didn't solder the LPC properly.

I've never used the BT point with any of my Duox installs. All I think it does is allow you to boot to the original MS bios by pressing eject. If you don't, it boots to the hacked bios.

On the lite version if you don't connect the BT to anything it boots always on, with the regular one (Blue or Cromwell), you have to connect BT to pin 9 for it to always be on.  You can't have the BT not connected to anything

I re-soldered everything and now my chip is flashing red, is that good or bad?, and when i start up the xbox, should it go to the M$ dashboard or do I have to put in a flash bios disk?

Ive never connected the BT wire on any of my installs, whether it be the lite or the cromwell. It just boots to the hacked bios every time for me.
