Duox Lite Killed My Xbox?

The chip will not kill the box but your install work may have done some damage.
Check for stray solder and shorts caused by soldering. Check the install very thoroughly

Damage to a point in the print track (Trace) or stray solder may not have an effect untill the Mobo starts to flex slightly as it warms up. Running for 10 minutes is no indication that all is well unfortunately
If it doesn't boot with the chip off you will ahve to go back through every step and rectify the damage to get it to boot stock again.
I hope you didn't use a rebuild PCB

The 1.5 bios will not boot in a 1.6 box so it cannot damage the xbox.
the chip should have come pre-flashed with M8+.16 which is perfect for your version
It could of course be some random failure totally unrelated but its bloody bad luck if it is when its not your own xbox.

Glad you got things sorted with this.
The bios on the chip will boot  in the earlier versions but a re-flash is advised soon after verifying installation as long term problems can occur using the 1.6 bios on earlier xbox consoles
