If you mean the eject LED is flashing red then you may have  eeprom problems

Do you mean the led on the chip is flashing red or the eject ring on the front of the xbox ?.... as it has been said before, a red flashing eject ring generally isnt a good thing, but the red led on the chip flashing should happen, that means its got a good connection

What you need is a new eeprom. Try booting with a modchip with an operating system such as a xenium ice and going from there.
