Chipping the box will allow you to install a new hard drive.
It will not let youturn a non working HDD (with error 7) into a working one so the faulty HDDs are dead even if you chip the box.

Do you know if I will still be able to pull the information that I need off of the error 7 harddrives to put on to a different hard drive. I have the two concoles that worked before the errors came up. I am wanting to see if I could hook the error hard drives to the chipped xbox, get what information I need and then add the information to another hard drive to put back into the error 7 original xbox.
Also if I transfer the information that I need could it also transfer the error that is on the hard drive?

Sorry for the stupid questions but I need to know.
Thanks,

more than likely not. error 7 usually means your hdd is toast. you can try to pull files from it, but it's highly unlikely it will work.

No matter how many times you ask the same thing its the same answer.
If the HDD is gone its gone.
A chip will not allow some magical access to a dead HDD
