Hmm...I think it will be something to do with the BT connection. Try disconnecting the BT wire from the chip.

Leave the link from BT to G but connect D0 to ground ( the circle around any screw hole ) wrap some wire around the screw and then tighten the screw down !

As your chip is a clone it may be that its damaged from the previous install/flash.

Just an update, I've solved my problems.  Successfully flashed FlashBIOS and Evox m8, and the system is booting correctly now smile.gif

Basically, I hot swapped the Duox with the Smartxx.  I had the d0 connected to ground, and had G connected to BT on the duox.  

I have the smartxx installed with a male pinheader, and the duox had a male pinheader already installed.  Since male doesn't fit male.  I used a floppy drive cable.  Since the cable's pinouts are not 1 for 1, that's what lead me to the xbox acting wierd when I tried to hot swap.

So I hacked up the floppy cable and soldered bare wires to the bottom of the motherboard to the pinheader pins.  then when I went to hot swap, itworked.....to my surprise smile.gif
