What was so 'hard' about the instructions? Did you read the total n00b guide to everything?

You gotta give us more info to work with.  What version of Xbox do you have?  THe Version tool on here is easy to figure out.  That way we can give you advice.
First bit of advice.... DON'T USE THE REBUILD BOARD.  It is great to use to see where you gotta solder wires to.  But don't use it to actually do it.

read this tutorial http://www.hackdabox...x2_Install.html
for a 1.4 the key things to know are
-Pull Pins 3,4, 5 out of the female pin header and solder it to the mod chip.  4 and 5 are easy to figure out cause the mod chip won't fit them, and 3 is directly above 4, you can see the hole is no connected to anything.
-you will have to pull 1 pin out of the male header to fit on the LPC.  Make sure you are putting the LPC in to line up with pins 1-12 and not starting it at the pin 16 side.
-Use the bottom side d0 as it is much easier.  THey are nicely marked on that tut.
-DOn't bother with the Alt BT, just solder a wire from the BT on the chip to the upper left of the eject button (There are 4 solder points on the back of the eject, upper left when you are facing the 4 solder points).
-Make sure the chip is plugged into the pinheader with the bios switch closest to the side of the xbox.
Hope that helps.

male vs. female pinheader is easy.  It's just like humans.  The Male gets stuck in the female.  The female one has the hole, the male, the pin.  Get it?

LPC= 2 rows of 8 holes (16 total) on the left side of your motherboard.  the holes are labelled (well enough have #'s so you can figure out with is 1-16).

Just ignore alt BT like I said.  BT stands for Buttons (Ie a wire from the BT on the mod chip goes to the back of the eject button)

You say holes punched, I hope you desoldered the lpc properly and didn't drill it.

I would suggest you read up on proper soldering.  Cause punching out the solder could very well have ruined the board.  If you aren't skilled in soldering, you shouldn't attempt to mod your Xbox.  Take it to someone who knows what they are doing.

Calm down I would highly reccomend you go to your neareast electronics shop and buy a electronic kit.
something simple like a photo electric switch or an am radio. most kits have great instructions and can help you get the feel for soldering.
d0 is going to be a bitch follow this http://www.xbox-scen...reparing-d0.php

There my original DuoX 2 easy install in my signature, but if you already used a punch on something electronic it may not help you much

i agree, what you did probably ruined the LPC.
Modding boxes takes time to learn and master.  You say you don't understand the guides, try taking your time reading them.  I spent 1 week reading every guide I could find and comparing it to my opened Xbox before I took out my soldering iron.  The result was a perfect mod the first attempt, and now I have done about 50 mods without a single failure.  All from those guides you say are too confusing.
If the guides are too confusing, go to a local modder who is good and offer to pay him an extra $20 if you can sit and watch him and have him explain what he is doing.  that might be the best way for you to learn.

Use the powers of Google.  Search for DuoX2 install guides and search on how to solder.  Then after you have read everything you can find, grab an old PC part (network card, whatever), and practice soldering wire on to various part of the board.  That will give you good practice since one of the mistakes noobs do is use too much solder and it crosswires stuff.  Then once you can solder well, then try it on your Xbox.

D0 is not a "hole", it's a pad on the surface of the board. The wire doesn't fit through the hole, the stripped end just lays across the top of it and is soldered in place. You can see examples of soldered connections on HackDaBox's install guide: http://hackdabox.ete...x2_Install.html

If you're thinking about attaching it to the D0 point on the top of the motherboard, dont bother. The one on the bottom (it's near where you solder the LPC pins) is much easier.

You can see the location here:

yes definitely use the bottom d0.  As it is the same for 1.0-1.5 which makes things easy.  Tin the wire first (get some solder on the wire first), and it will help it stick to the pad.
