Duox2 Results In Frag, What Next?

The chance of you having a DOA chip are very very slim , this just doesn't happen much at all. It's the first thing that people think of but in nearly all cases the soldering was to blame.

Go through my DuoX2 Troubleshooter ! first and see if that helps you.

Also check out my Duo X2 Install Guide ! on my website.

I have got to agree with HackDaBox, it highly doubt (99.9%) it is a bad chip.  It is your soldering.  Recheck and check some more your LPC solder job, and your wire build.  Don't use the rebuild board that comes with the DuoX2 as the eyelets are too big and don't line up properly with the board.  Maybe you could also get up some good quality photos of your board for us to look at.

Thanks again!  I now have it working.  I removed the 1.6 port rebuild board.  (Extremely painful to do.  It took almost 2 hours)  Rebuilt the port with wires, and everything worked great.

I wish I would've known the advice to not use the rebuild board before I started.  (Ain't hindsight wonderful?)

yeah, those rebuild boards are a pain to take off.
i used them at first but when i had to undo one from someone's install, i decided to just do wire rebuilds.
so much easier for trouble shooting smile.gif

glad to hear it's up and running!
