Hi,
I've installed lots of X2's and X3's but never a DuoX2. I've decided to give them a try and have a question about the BIOS load. If I'm using a BIOS which is already 512K in size, why do I need to resize it to 512K? I've been told that I can use the X2.5035 BIOS on all versions of Xbox, and it's already 512K, yet from I've read from HAckDaBox's site I still need to resize it. Is that true?
Is it actually safe to use the X2.5035 BIOS on all versions, or should I use the M8+ on the V1.6 and 1.6B?
Cheers!!!
If your bios is allready 512k in size then it's ready to use. Don't flash the X2 5035 bios if you have silver BT and D0 pads on your chip as it doesn not work on clones.
The reason i say you have to resize the bios files is becuase the Evox M8 Plus V1.6 and the X2 4981 are normally 256k in size.
No the X2 5035 bios cannot work on all versions and thats why there are two versions of it. One for OLD consoles and one for V1.6
