Duox Install Woes

The fault is almost vertainly LPC related. The places you have measured from the bottom of the pins to the top of the Duo board will not tell you if there is a hairline fracture round one of the LPC pins where it meets the Xbox motherboard.
Is the led flashing on the DuoX chip?
Check pin 9 for 3v3 and pin 6 for 5v. You will then need to check back from each pin on the header to the next via/connection point back on the Xbox motherboard so you will need a good light and strong magnifying glass to follow the print (Trace) run back from the LPC.
Where in the UK? If you are near enough to me I will help you sort it all out at the workshop here.

Yes the red LED is flashing (is that good or bad?  biggrin.gif ). I'll do the voltage checks later.

I'm up near Edinburgh but I'd be happy to pay postage both ways and add in a little something extra. Right now I have a useless brick.

I should have let a pro do it in the first place, the last time I installed a modchip it was a PS1 and although there were a lot more wires, the pads were much bigger - Lesson learned!
