I said SHIT, powered it off and took the top case off. I flipped the switch (which I can reach from the side) and restarted the xbox, now it flashes green, goes solid green and there is no picture or sound.

I can still bypass the chip with the eject button and all is well. Man I miss that 1.0 box!

So am I screwed? Is there anyway to recover the chip and what did I do wrong? The Duox2 is 2 banks of 512k right? The 5035 bios I used is a 512k which I have used before (3 days ago in fact).

 Yes, I did use the old!! Doh, I totally forgot there were two flavors.

Why does the second bank have no video though? Is there any way to recover from my mistake?

OK, this just occurred to me. If I mount this chip in my 1.0 XBox and boot off it (the bank that works) It shouldn't FRAG. It's a 1.0 XBox after all. Then I flip the switch on the chip and flash it with the x2_5035 New bios. Take the chip back to the 1.6 box and boot off the second bank.


I'm an idiot, but I'm thinking (in my limited noobie way) that this just might work.

Now I just need to find a pin header to install into the 1.0.
