Remove the chip and clean up any solder left arond. Check the xbox works fine unchipped. Do the install again !

Is this on a v1.6? In my experience, this occur with a faulty LPC rebuild. If it's a v1.6, then check that the wires are going to the proper locations and check solder joints.
