Duox2 (white) Help
« on: October 27, 2005, 04:24:00 PM »

The chip is flashing red or the power/eject light flashes red, because the duox2 does have a red led on it that flashes I believe. If its the power/eject button are you getting any sort of an error message on the screen? Did you attempt to flash yet and if so did it work? Also, use flashbios 3.0.3 instead of 3.0.1... Hope this helps.

What you are missing is you need flashbios 3.0.3 unauthorized to restore the serial eeprom. Since the linux kernel doesn't need the eeprom that loads but the flash to M8 causes a red flash. This is a classic dead eeprom. Flashbios unauthorized has the proper images for all 3 types of eeproms so you need to restore the eeprom for the xbox version that applies in your case. After you use flashbios to restore the serial eeprom you can use it again to flash to M8. Then you can restore your back up eeprom and you are good to go. Also there is an option to unlock your hard drive with flashbios, try that first since your headed for a generic eeprom.

Hard drive will not unlock (Or lock.) I can't find a good m8 bios, where ever  I get them from they are all 0kb .bin files. So i put an M7 on it  boots up then locks on the Xbox splash screen.
When I got this xbox last year it was dead (coma I think its called) put in a duox2 flashed it and all was well. Some time later I decided to put a Evox on it and all was fine untill reboot and it was dead again. So I put it in the closet and forgot about it for a couple months, No I have time to mess with it again. Rambling........Sorry
