One or more of your connections is probably not making contact. The Duox2 is the worst "quick solder" modchip since it has rings as apposed of the half moon connections, if you want to do a quick solder the best route is the Aladdin chips.  A good tool for removing the chip is the desolder vacuum, but its still a little dificult.  If you can get it out without damageing anything then consider the wire install.

hey does it frag when you boot with the chip off too?

your problem may not be the LPC install.
it may be with D0
