Heres the instructions you should of read first ...

I have created a great source of information on these chips but if people don't read it then it's not my fault !

OK you need to download Eurasia Pro Generic Flash Disc and burn it as an iso this will be the flashing disc , Then you need to make a BIOS DISC. The BIOS DISC will have just a BIOS.BIN file which must contain a 512k bios file. You should use X2 4981 bios. If you grab it from xbins you will have to resize it from 256k to 512k, you can do this using a program called XBTOOL.

Or open a command prompt and type in this command

copy /b 256k.bin + 256k.bin BIOS.BIN

Where 256k.bin is the name of the x2 bios thats a 256k bios file and BIOS.BIN will be created and it will be 512k

To burn the eurasia iso file you can use any burning program that supports the iso format. Don't drag the iso to a new isso9660 disc as that won't work. You must choose the ISO to burn.

To make the BIOS disc i do suggest you use Nero. A different program coul dbe used but make sure juliet is turned off and no multisession.

does the BIOS.BIN have to be uppercase or lowercase? i have seen both so im not really sure...

Lower case will work fine with Eurasia.

k so how am i supposed to do this? it doesnt seem to work for me:(
do it have to be in the flashbios bank? because if it does i guess im screwed (thats the one that doesnt work - in fact, the only one that DOES work is the bank 0 - the cromwell linux bank)

Make 2 discs.
one should have the Eurasia ISO on it. One is just a data disc with your 512K hacked bios on named bios.bin and a dummy file if needed.
Boot bank 0 and insert the Eurasia disc. Follow the onscreen instructions before insetring your bios disc flick the bank switch on the Duo X 2 to bank 1. When you put the bios disc in it will flash bank 1 (the one you messed up) leaving you with the Cromwell on bank 0 in case of emergency in future

when i put the eurasia disc in the dvd drive closes and tries to read it a couple of times and just stops.  if i eject the disc and put it back in it will appear to read it but also emits a chirp every 2 seconds...strange...

Either the drive does not like the media or you burned the ISO wrong.
What program did you use to burn the Eurasia image. ? and what settings?

i used sonic recordnow... didnt set any settings, and i used a sony dvd+r

Did you just select record image, what i am trying to say is you didn't just burn the file as data.
The only other thing is are you sure your box will read DVD+R the Samsung driven boxes don't read +Rmedia.
If you are sure the media is ok try re-burning the eurasia flash disc ISO using the ISO write option in DVD Decrypter.

my box has a thomson drive in it...XBox-Linux says dvd-rw, +r and +rw should work
and yes, the eurasia cd has the files on it, not just the one data file.

Its ages since I used Rnow so I can't remember the selction option but what you should have is a folder that says Flash disc. Inside that is an ISO image. You burn that as an image to your DVD disc. It should not be multiple files or anything. If that is what you have done then you will have to reburn trying different blank media.
If its not what you did thenre-burn using DVD decrypter (Free) as I know this works fine for images

ok so now i have flashed the bios on bank 1 what do i do now
