yah, i have a tommy to, and i know its not gonna read slayers.

what i did is, i used what softmodders use to build their harddrives.

since you already have slayers, you can use the C and E retial from that, and stick the evoxdash.xbe in the C folder.

once you get xboxhdm all set up, you can build the harddrive with retial and the evoxdash.xbe in C.

having evoxdash.xbe in there will allow you ftp acsess, and youll be able to set your xbox up as you want it.

read up on xboxhdm for dummies in the non-modchip forums. you dont need the eeprom.bin since you dont have a softmod.

I use the same old Slayers disc on all types of drive and can honestely say i have not had a problem getting it to boot on a Thomson drive yet. Its burned on a Ritek G04 DVD-R.

Boot slayers on my tommy before with the right DVD. Dude everyone may talk shit about your tomy but mine never gives me any trouble unless I try to use shit-tacular media in it. In which case i deserve it not to work for being a cheap ass. But none the lss you can get it to read it with the right media/

My slayer's boots on all drives. It is burn't using Nero Burning Rom on
DVD-R at 1X speed.

Don't use CD-R , CD-RW or DVD+R. Use DVD-R for a working disc on any drive.

Burning Tutorial

Save the file to Desktop. Unrar it using winrar (www.rarlabs.com) and burn it using Nero Burning Rom (www.nero.com). Open Nero Burning Rom and click X to close the wizzard. Click on Recorder, Burn Image... Click on Desktop. Change the Files of type to all files. Double click on the ISO file you want to burn. choose DVD. Choose 1x speed. Click Finalize CD (No further writing possible!). Click Burn.

Cool, thanks for the info, all. You confirmed what I was thinking. I'm still waiting for my Ritek DVD-R discs to show up in the mail. Hopefully that will solve all my woes!

He did say he had ordered the new HDD so you are correct in thats why the discs will not work yet, until the new HDD is hooked up

hey this is off topic but i was tryin to make a dvd-r slayers boot disc and when i go to burn the ISO it says i need a cd-r/cd-rw how do i make a dvd iso?

Really? I kind of thought "bootdisc" meant apps were launched on it prior to the BIOS even looking for a HDD. Why does there need to be a HDD if you're running an application off the DVD drive? Is it just a system diagnostic thing? It wants to make sure everything is in order before launching anything?
