Duox2 Cromwell/flashbios Question...
« on: August 06, 2005, 08:01:00 PM »

Well, I was wondering how you would install an LED that would turn on when you have your DuoX2 chip enabled, and off when you disable it.

Hope someone can help me out!

Thanks!

Well there is an Led on the chip that flashes when mod is enabled....you could replace that with a pair of wires and extend it to an LED mounted externally.  Or even simpler just reflash your bios with a modified one where you change the eject led color to orange or red (or cycle...but that may be annoying)

Well, I did try soldering wires on the sides of the blinking LED figuring that would work, but it does not.

As i am sure you know..leds are polarized so you would have to make sure you orient it correctly.  Also you would likely have to remove the surface mount Led and not run another paralel with it...

M0dChipZ0ne cxould you please reduce your signature size in line with XS rules. 450px is the max width and 125px is the max height yours is 800 wide and is even extending the width of the posting area so I have to scroll.

easier than soldering is to change the eject lED colour with a modofied bios.
