I would (At least temporarily) set the chip up to be always on. Currently you may either have a problem with you d0 wire or bt wire.

connect d0 to ground, and connect bt to G (the 2nd pin down from d0).
this will force the chip to boot.
The 1.6 bios which is currently on there may have problems booting on the 1.0 machine, but you should be able to get it to load an evox disk so you can reflash if you keep trying

Thanks for the reply, I'we allready connected Bt to always on, Pin 9 or 2:nd from d0, i solder d0 from alternative point to ground, connecting it directly to the chip resulting the xbox to not find the chip at all, just booting MS dash whithout any Evo loggo, can't read any burned dvd:s or cdrw. but when it's connected to ground the xbox finds the chip and displays the Evo Loggo in upper left corner then freezes, so i dont think that there's any problem with do or bt / Jabs  blink.gif

Its looking ever more likely of a change in code in the Lite chip meaning BT to pin 9 will permannet disable the chip. Bt should i think be left not connected for always on with this chip. I can not test this till I can get one in my hands.
For now leave BT not connected then solder D0 to ground. try and cure the freezing problem first which in 99 cases out of a 100 is the soldering of the lPC points. deal with enabling the chip afterwards

I agree, i also thinks that Bt is always connected whithout connecting Bt, on a 1.6 i didnt solder bt, and it worked great..  sure it could be the lpc soldering but i have been resoldering it alot grr.gif , have to test removing bt tonight, my friend "Mr thinks he knows it all" keeps telling me that i have to connect bt, but i dont think so, i'we tested whithout bt but not at the same time as "d0 to ground" , so it might work .....

And i thought it was time to lean back and enjoy  smile.gif  but,
Another problem i noticed is that it fails starting ntsc games, pal works fine, under system settings in evo meny i had it set to auto or default it doent matter still only boots pal, i got bios X2_4981.06, seems like it fails to initialize dvd:s with ntsc games, it has to be related to this Duo X2 Lite chip or X2_4981.06 Bios, anyone with any bright suggestions? i'we tried Enigma switch aswell...  wink.gif

Xbox = Ver1.1
Chip  = Duo X2 Lite
Bios = X2_4981.06

those games works well on my other Xbox
