maybe you should have used the duox2 disc by hackdabox?

The way I read his tutorial, is that the duox2disc.rar is for the Cromwell duox2's, and hackdabox.rar disc is for the other version that already come with hacked bios's?

NickFury: I think that's the one I used, what's the end result supposed to be after you flash the modchip? Does it boot with the xbox logo and executer in text on the bottom then it skips to another screen or do I need to put a CD in and install a dashboard?

the results you have now are normal. The box should boot up say Xecuter 2 under the logo and then go to the M$ dash.
You now need to go onto the next step which is to install a dash onto your machine (Although the machine will play back ups even without). Until you install a dash nothing will appear that much different other than the Xecuter 2 bit.
Obtain a copy of Slayers 2.6 and install a dash and Apps from it.

You have done well Sovereign , you have successfully Installed and Flashed your chip. Now it's normal to get the XECUTER2 logo instead of MS. If the MS DASH does not aapear or you get an error screen then you have a problem but if it goes to the MS Dashboard then your fine.

If you are going to add a large hard drive then remove your little hard drive )unlock it if you are going to use it on a PC) then run Slayer's and choose Install Large HDD (C:). Then lock the drive and reboot.

Sorry for the double post, but now that I've done some more testing hopefully I can give a better synopsis of my problem.

Problem: After I flashed my DuoX2 cromwell edition my xbox boots up and feezes with an orange xbox logo and the executuer words on the bottom of the screen.

What works:
-- Both banks booted up initially with the stock bios and could move around and navigate
-- Eject button loads the modchip and powerbutton loads the MS bios (I have it softmodded right now, so evox loads)
-- The red LED flashes

What I've tried:
-- I first had everything done by wires
-- Then I installed the chip with a pinheader and the problem still existed
-- I switched to another Duox2 chip (i have 5 of them) -- flash on flashbios created same problem
-- I switched the d0 from the top side to the bottom side, same problem

I think your problem is you still have the softmod...Try deleting the softmod and setting the MS Dash back to normal....To verify this is the problem simply boot up the xbox with a evox boot disk (or an auto installer) and see if its still freezes, if it doesn't freeze with the boot disk then its the MS Dash files and you need to just reinstall it along with any other dash you want.

Modding Manic: I don't tell this to many people, but ... I truly believe, you're a genius. THANKS SO MUCH!!! IT WORKS!!! =)

Today is actually my birthday (turned 19) and I've spent the last 2 weeks trying to figure out how this stupid modchip thing works and I finally got it to work today. This is the best birthday present I could ever have gotten, thanks to everyone at the scene for making this happen. I feel so ... accomplished.
