I may try that ze_olc.  I knew the iND bios had problems with certairn video chips, but thought it was fine for a v 1.0 board.  The main stupidity was patching the bios my own config file in at 1 am without testing it on the HD first.  Sometimes I have to learn the hard way.

The evox bios that came on the chip just hung at the splash screen.  Fortunately the box was already softmodded and quick evox flash with 4981.06 fixed it the first time around.  Of course I could not leave well enough alone.

I think he got carried away because this was a Duo thread.  I'm sure he will realize he meant 256k.

Well we are talking about bioses for a DuoX2 so yeah the size would need to be 512k becuase some flashers don't autosize. However i do realize it can be used as 256k otherguy smile.gif

???

Argh well you should not of killed a chip by hotswaping ? did you remember to replace the good chip with the bad chip before flashing ???

i guess your best option is to send both chips to some niceguy close to you that can hottswap flash the chips for you !

The box just powers up three times and then frags with either chip.

If it only does this in chip enabled mode then the D0 is not the problem.

I get trusty Eurasia cds out. I boot with the Lite chip in. No video but the box is running. Disc pops out and in goes the second cd of eurasia box shuts down. Reboot box and the chip works fine.

ze_olc was right in what he said. the good thing about doing it with Eurasia this way is even if you can't see the screen the process is automatic, closing and openeing the DVD etc.
Sounds like your white duo has died
