yeah you can do that, but the doux2 uses a differnt bt point than the aladdin, but thats not on the rebuild board anyway, and yes it comes with cromwell, and flashbios ( only works on 1.6b i think, and not 1.6, but works all rest 1.0-1.5)

doesn't help him at all if it works with rest 1.0 - 1.5 but does it. and munkle how do you know he is using a cromwell version ?

Yes you can use the aladdin rebuild board but i don't think the rebuild boards are any good. They don't save much time so i have gone back to wires as their easier if you have a problem.

Yes the chips are flashed v1.6 compatible bioses. What Duox 2 chip did you buy ? If you have a blue one then flick the switch to bank 1. If you have a white one then you can try both banks.

BANK 0 is cromwell bios , this bios does not have an inbuilt flash program so you will have to download Eurasia Pro Generic Flash Disc 1.2 from xbins and burn it to 2 discs as the instructions state. You can then flash your bios. Make sure you use Evox M8 Plus V1.6 as the xecuter bioses are not compatible with V1.6

BANK 1 is flashbios , this bios is easier to use as it has it's own inbuilt flashing program. Just select load bios from cd , you will ofcourse need to make a normal cdrw in nero containing BIOS.BIN and a dummy file for more info on how to make this disc look here.

When you turn on the xbox in BANK 1 you may get a blank screen ( this is a known issue with flashbios and xbxox V1.6 ) just keep turning it on and off untill the screen appears ( it can take up to 30 tries ) Or try the other BANK as detailed above. Once again use Evox M8 Plus V1.6 bios.

Perfect explanation. I agree with using wires for the rebuild. If you can solder the rebuild PCB the wires are easier still, plus you can see your work should you need to check any of it.
