i would check and recheck your d0 and bt wires , also get a multimeter and try and check that you have 3.3v @point "g" on the lpc/chip , if you aint then maybe you have a v1.5 , needs an extra couple of wires to work biggrin.gif

go here

and on the diagram the red line that shows 3.3v , with xbox off , select your multimeter for continuity , then put one probe on point g , and the other where the diagram shows , next to c7d3 if you get a beep or a reading from your meter then you dont have a v1.5 .(altho i still think the prob is either your d0 or bt point m8

Connect BT to pin 9 on the chip (G) leave the d0 on Xbox to D0 on chip. Boot the box the red led should flash on the chip. If it does flash but the regular M$ bios boots up then the D0 point is the problem. If everything boots up fine (Flash screen etc) and chip is enabled then your BT point is the original problem.

With a Duox2 you don't need a multimeter... If the red led blinks you have power and a V1.4

Urm i was just saying if people are worried about the version might be a V1.5  , when you install a Duox2 modchip and the red led blinks then you have power so you don't need to add any extra wires to reconnect up the power rails.

But if you have a V1.6 you don't need to worry about it and yes your chip should flash red ( i wish it was blue or something ... people allways assume red is error )

Blinking Red Is Healthy For a DuoX2 Modchip !

well, reconnected to 1.5, and the chip flashes red as it should...but...the box frags... I might check all the other connections... d0 is checked OK.

Well thats progress, check the wires that slave off the pins at teh bottom of the mainboard, sometimes those wreak havoc even though they look fine, just reheat them again to ensure your getting full contact.
