I had to pull out an aladdin 1.6 rebuild kit out after it worked for a month then started fragging, get 3 seeks from the dvd then cycles again.. I checked all the solder joints multiple times and even tried another chip.

I have installed a heap of these now and after checking it all many times I was still reluctant to believe it could be the board. Turns out it was.

Best to check everything again and look for any small bits of solder before deciding it is actually the rebuild board.

If you swapped the chip then thats out.
The problem is stilll with the LPC points or the rebuild. The BT and Lframe is working as the box Frags when the chip is enabled so the box is trying to boot from the LPC.
