First have u used the proper bios for ur xbox?
If ur xbox is a 1.6b u should use evox m8+ 1.6b bios

If u didnt try that bios that could be the reason of ur booting problem

I hope this info helps u

I was under the impression that they came with BIOS's pre-loaded.. since this is my fifth one from the same person, and the previous ones all had BIOS's.

It's a 1.6, since it has the Xcalibur GPU and Samsung ram (according to the guide on here)

I've tried both Bank 0 and Bank 1 as well... neither work.

I just noticed something else that's strange. Pressing Power or Eject turns the chip on, because the red LED flashes for both...

You have defo got something messed up with the install. Most likely when you have done the rebuild. It may be time to let someone fix it for you and fix the Trace permanently

some sort of power regulator that's only found on 1.6 was burnt out, probably caused by the bridge I didn't catch the first (of 4) times I tried fixing this install.
