1.  you need to make the 256K bios into 512K using XBtool but I have a feeling that Xbtool only supports 4981 and earlier. Also what version is your Xbox. don't flash this bios if you have a 1.6
2. To guide you through this step by step would take a lot of space. basically you will have to connect to the box via FTP and delete the apps, emulators etc that you dont want. If you know how to put this on why did you not just ask for the chip to be installed but nothing else, it would have saved some messing.

Yes chancer xbtool only supports 4981 and below. DRF only delete these files and folders from C: if they exist but no others.

evoxdash.xbe
evox.ini
SKIN
BIOS
TRAINERS

then have a look in E: and F: for folders like

emulators or emus
apps

and delete those too then put xbmc onto drive C: and you will have to rename XBMC's default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe and make sure it's in the root of C:

No it's not a Duox 2 limitation. It's like this the X2 4981 BIOS looks for

D:\default.xbe     ( from the dvd-rom not the hard drive )

C:\evoxdash.xbe
C:\avalaunch.xbe
C:\xboxdash.xbe

the above three must be in the root of C: , so if you have your XBMC's xbe file named default.xbe and store it in C: it won't work.

Where have you placed your XBMC files ?

 YES use Evox !

But if you really wanna use XBMC then edit your bios to load F:\APPS\DEFAULT.XBE and it will work

 or

Copy all the XBMC files onto Drive C: and it should work

Try one or more of the above and post how you go !
