Does it happen with the modchip off? Mabey your shorting out some where. Try cleaning the inside of your box. Mabey yout modchip came loose. I'm not much of an expert, just trying to offer some advice.

here's the thing. when i turn the chip off and turn on my box...black screen. when i turn my chip on and boot...gray screen. not really gray, but more like it's actually turning on.

and the thing is yesterday when it first happened, i freaked out for a while. tried plugging the inputs into my vcr rather than into my tv but to no avail. started this thread, and then turned it on again and it worked fine. booted to my mxm dash with no problems. i turned it off to play halo, booted it up and the same problem.
