So it has been well established now, that the X-Chip & the solderless adapter will not work with a v1.6 xbox.

Here is the fix:

Once you have the solderless adapter fitted and screwed in properly, you must solder 1 wire. I know, annoying! But that's life.

First, open up the X-Chip Master Install Guide. Go to page 41. Take a wire and solder one end of it right onto the "+5v" on the x-chip. Then solder the other end onto the transistor. The pictures in the X-Chip Master Install Guide show where to solder pretty clearly.

Once you're done soldering, fire up that bad boy and it should work.

Nobody is trying to take away your flame man. jeez. I just wanted to make it clear and obvious for everyone. It's not like i was taking credit for it. Anyways, thanks goes out to 98vtec.
