Help With Bios On X-lite
« on: April 08, 2005, 11:25:00 AM »

I have an xbox 1.1 / x-lite w/ solderless adapter.  I flashed the chip by cd with x2_4983 bios.  I flashed a 1024kb bin to banks 4-7 (B), but it still boots to the cromwell bios.  If I hold down the B button when starting, it boots to the normal xbox screen.  Did I use the wrong bios or do something wrong? <

one bios I HIGHLY recommend is the x-chip_evoxv1.3 bios.
yes I know it has the name X-chip in it but it will still work.
Flash that x-chip bios (4mb)
then flash mini bioses within that (like cromwell) <

Are you holding the B button when you press power, or pressing power then holding B button?

Also since its booting cromwell can you select that bank and boot the bois, if it faisl to boot and resumes back to cromwell, chances are you wrote a corrupt file. <

I was hitting power, and then pressing B.  I went to the bank in Cromwell and tried to swithc to the bios, and the xbox started turning off and on.  I'm going to try flashing it with the evox 1.3 bios instead. <
