if you change the boot sequence it will only change it to f:avalaunch.xbe what you need to do if you used slayer or another evox auto-installer it installed avalaunch in f:apps/avalaunch move avalaunch from the apps folder so at least the xbe if on just the f: drive or you have to alter bios to make sure it can find xbe your said you have evox1.2 use evtool than you can change your x color too PM me if you have more questions

You have to install a dashboard on the xbox before it can load it.
evox xchip v1.2 is not a dashboard its a bios.
get yourself a copy of Slayers evox auto installer and put it on ya hard drive as per the instructions, it contains heaps of helpful apllications to get you started.
