if your x-chip red led comes on flashing green and red when you turn on your xbox, its your bios, if the led doesnt come on, unsolder your D0 and push it in very hard then try again.
If the led comes on the chip but the xbox eject led flashes red/green, then connect your xbox to your pc (no need to power xbox on)
using the usb adapter on the chip. Start X-control software
http://easybuy2000.c...l_Install16.zipand a green light should come on in the top left of the program.
Read below for flashing the chip with a new bios.
One bios
----------
Now open x-control,
click x-chip > read all
wait until it has finished reading.
now, click load RAW, browse for your bios, then click x-chip > write all.
when the process is finished, boot your xbox and all should be fine !
Multi-bios
-----------
open x-control.
If you want more than one bios,
click x-chip > read all.
you must have one block set as boot (right-click, click boot).
Add extra bios' by selecting a spare bank and right-clicking, load bios, browse for your .bin bios file,
then right-click again, and assign an xbox controller key A,B,X,Y.
Now click x-chip > write all.
Once the chip is installed and flashed, you can install whatever dashboard (o/s) you want, i use UnleashX and Avalaunch, unleasX is the most feature packed, Avalaunch looks and feels good, and EvoX is more user friendly.
Get you dashboard,
http://xbins.org is a good place to look, once you work out how to use it

.
And get an installer disk e.g. (slayers EvoX) and run the auto-installer, once you have a dashboard installed, you can always ftp the xbox and install another dashboard later. Just press start at the bios screen and go into the settings and
choose the relevant path and filename to the dashboard from the list, C:\ is usually the most suitable.
you done !
enjoy, chronic_
