To determine if your MB is a 1.0 or 1.3 is easy and not really important at this stage, is the LPC port filled with solder:
Yes: Install Solderless adapter as solderless install guide
No: Install rivits and install solderelss adapter as solderless install guide.
Now if you followed install guide and power up xbox, does the red led light up when powered:
Yes: 1/2 Good sign ( signifies right adapter used and power to chip )
No: Reallign all pins and snugg sdapter till see red led when power, if no red led after numerous attemps check solderelss adapter and verify 11 pins on top and 10 on bottom, if not you have wrong solderelss adapter.
Now connect to TV and power up, do you see cromwell blue screen( unless you wrote bios already to chip )?
Yes: Contact is A ok and chip working and installed correctly
No: Reallign and verify contact and LED light and try again till you hit sweat spot and snug screw( plastic shoudl be tight against xbox motherboard )
