When you power up xbox do you see a purple evox shield on top left of screen.  If so you connection is good and your bios loaded properly.

That leaves the media and how you burned slayers.

Make sure you burn the iso image of slayers and if using nero prior to clicking burn one of the tabs contains a xbox compatible option ( checkmark it )

okay when you say burn the iso, and check the xbox option, here is what I did, opened xiso, unpacked the slayers iso, then opened nero selected the iso option grabbed the files and burned, did I do it wrong, if so I am sorry to ask you this but can you give me step by step, thank you!

oh and I forgot, yes the shield and the xchip logos all fire up on the bios, and xchip inside comes on, thanks again for all your help!

Yes, you did wrong.

SO you have Slayers.iso( not sire exact name ) then used xiso to extract and make new iso??? Why as its already a burnable image.

The way I do.

Open Nero
Close the New Compilation window if open
Select Recorder .... Burn Image
Find the slayers.iso file
Then when you see the Burn button,
check the tabs to the left, one will have xbox compatibility check box, mark it off then press burn

okay award me the offical moron award, but my excuse is it was 3 in the morning, it did make sense to me last night but I do see now, thank you for your help and i will be home tonight to try and see if burning it like that does work, thanks again!!!!

Been there done that.  

A few 3 am times, obvious things just get harder and more complicated.


P.S. I even forgot once to put my TV on proper Vidoe setting and tore apart a modded box 5 times trying to figure out what was wrong.  Mind you this was with a big hangover.
