Hi, can you guys please help me out? I got my the X-chip on my xbox. It works fine does everything has evox bios and it has been working good for months! But I heard about all this banning and I'm planning to get the original verison of Halo 2 tommorow and I want to play on xbox live. For one, My xbox has 2 games on its harddrive. The HD is the same size as from which it came from the xbox. My first question is would I be ok If i went on xbox live with those 2 games in my HD and i got like 2 songs scattered somewhere on my xbox HD. The other question is how can i turn off my X-Chip so it comes up to regular xbox bios? Do i go behind the little lan thing and press that one black button and on the cromwell screen put it to another one? help please!

i guess that's what happened to me tonight - started up the xbox with x-chip disabled (using eject key) and when i tried to log on to live, it wouldn't connect.  the troubleshooter reported that i may have issues with modified software.  guess i'm banned?  has this happened to anyone else yet?

I'm using the same HD Space, I haven't upgraded any new space, but I think evox added new things like E:/ and F:/ and I got 2 games on my HD that got added after the first time i went on live before.

No you don't just have to disable your chip dumbass.  Maybe you haven't been paying attention - these bannings have nothing to do with enabled or disabled chips.

I have two friends that has been banned as well.
They have not changed their harddrives since registering for live and both had their accounts banned. So it has nothing to do with hard drive serial numbers either.

well no, i belive ur wrong. the hard drive serial numbers is just one of many things that M$ are looking for. we just have to figure out exactly what it is theyre lookign for.

we have so far decided that changing har drives will get you banned, so it is just anotehr thing you have to watch out for.

a M$ insider would be very helpful right about now..... dry.gif

wait so if u have an altered hard drive (ie: have xbox media player and snes9x) you cannot go on xbox live even though u disabled your mod chip by making the eject button load the original dashboard? is this true i hope ill be able to play online

if you have changed your hard drive AFTER you have signed up, then you will be banned. but if you swap ur hard drive for a bigger one, THEN register for live, you should be ok.
