ok, but which one is most compatible with xbox versions, because i checked in the xbox bios description page and the evox 1.1 and 1.2 looked like they didnt work with the majority of xobx versions.

another question, whats the sequence of events you have to do when modding an xbox. example....  install chip/install bios/install dashboard/install new hd??   is this sequence right?

EvoX M8, EvoX 1.1 and EvoX 1.2 works on all versions of XBOX

With each BIOS there is a seperate file if you have a 1.6 box though.

Firstly i would suggest you use the evox_xchip v1.3 bios as your core bios on the x-chip , you can load and test many different bioses within the evox xchip 1.3 bios and the possible combinations are many on the empty banks as alternative boots, altho i doubt you will need any other bios atm as the evox x-chip v 1.3 is compatable with all current xboxes. as long as you load the right bin file for the right version xbox.
make sure when you load the 1.3 bios you LOAD RAW and save changes using the x_control software.
Why ppl even bother with M8 or M7 is beyond my comprehension, when the evox xchip v 1.3 is the best bios atm for the x-chip.
