Is your problem only in specific games?  It may be a bad rip...

Have you verified X-Chip bios at fault by using a alternative bios on xchip and using it to play game.

Also, if you are using Evox 1.0 or 1.1 Bios's you can set your output audio, maybe game does not support that selection. Verify correct setting for your output cable connected to Xbox.

Using a modd'ed M8 bios (for G: drive support), I was able to get Splinter Cell to play sound in the briefings.  Was not able to test silent hill 4 (since I have removed it), and ran out of time to test Xmen Legends..

Also, another person I know has the X-Chip and has some sound issues with 1.1 also.

Quite right in that it might be a bad rip, but in 3 diff games and at different places makes me think it might be a bios thing.  The possiblity exists for both bios and bad rips to be the culprit.

I found a topic on a different board where someone with my exact setup is having the same issues as me.

http://evox.xboxhack...opic.php?t=9454

So yes, it sounds like a bug in the 1.1 bios to me.

I have the exact same setup and I have the exact same problem.

I recently patched to X-Chip 1.1 and noticed this recently with Silent Hill 4 and X-Men Legends.

I thought maybe I had bad rips, but not the case it seems because it also just happened to Red Dead Revolver and Riddick, both of which I have had a while and have never had audio problems until now.

B'doh!

Thanks for the link, try changing the Audio settings in Evox 1.1 to stereo for now and see if resolves issues.

I've had no issues with this setting and have the games listed above.

I noticed as I have only stereo TV and stantard AV pack by default when I installed evox 1.1 it was Dolby Digital setting.
