If you downloaded the Xcontrol software there is a manual in PDF forum on your start menu added.

You use the software on your PC to write a BIOS or the Evox OS to your xchip.  Download Evox 1.1 as it has a howto guide in it as well.

Should get you started

Also take your time and read as many of the how to guides in xbox-scene web site. There is a ton of information that will get you going.

The more you educate yourself the less you rely on others for help.

As long as you can write to the X-chip then the chip is fine.

If your Xbox frags then check your contacts.

Typical reply "The more you educate yourself the less you rely on others for help"

Seems they want people to figure out themselves, as they always tell people to read and get answers themselves.

I can faily and honestly say without people seeing the EB2k support name here they can agree that support not given from eb2k.  And thus can say no support given.

I've seen since beginning of week you are popping up more on boards which is good.

But you must stop the attitude of "I'm GOD, I must not reply to mear mortals"  Yes, this is how almost all your posts have come off in past week.  "Use search funtion, don't realy  on others, read"   If a newbie is unsure, he/she has right to ask for help.  Put it this way, you think all companies push people to read, no, they monitor support and answer over and over again same issues, then create new FAQ's or install manuals to accomodate the grwoing trend of issues.

If MS did this with SP2 they named would be dead, but they now releasing more and more info on SP2 bugs and issues and trying to resolve what they can.

I agree it may sound stupid answering over and oevr again same things, but even as an intelligent( at least I think I am ) person, If i do search for information and see post is 2-3 montsh old....sorry that does not suite me if no FAQ's or stickies noting howto fix/resolve.  I need to see current/updated info.

My grief is:
a) You offer support, but deny to give if been answered before, unjustifiable in any business.
cool.gif Yes I know you busy with other task, but if overburdened, why not hire more staff to help ease the load ( yes work can overlaod a person and drive them to frustration
c)  Showing presence, not showing around even to check on things and make sure things answered correctly.  Damn, someone could post a fake .exe for SP2 fix and have virus in it, would you know? You would probable get phone calls or emails, but would not know? and say yes I have not been sent the new file i will need to check into it.
d) All the above.

I will ignore your personal complaints you have against me however you did make some interesting points abaout SP2 since this is technical forum I will respond to that.

I have contacted Team X-Chip about the SP2 issue and I am waiting on more info before I make the post offical.

I should hear from them very shortly. When I do I will make it an offical post.

I have never stated ANYWHERE that "I'm GOD" in any of my posts. I have alot of calls that come in and spend most of my time answereing them along with emails so I do have a full work load.

As for a new install guide it's pretty much complete which I wil lbe posting shortly when it's done. However since I don't do photoshop I need to rely on others to help me with that. I only know technical stuff.

As soon as my new install guide is complete I will have it posted on the easybuy2000.com web site.

Anyway this is really now out of topic and this thread should be closed.

QUOTE (christineyoung @ Sep 30 2004, 08:54 PM)
I think I was fair with 3 out of 10.

In past few months you relied on others to post answers to common issue.  Sure, thats ok, but i'm sure I newbie would rather see easybuy2000 answering a unknonw question from a newbie then someone else with 5-10 posts.  Rest assured, you coudl have always backed up replies by others stating that is correct, or good job tongue.gif
