I'm not sure why it flashes orange then green.  Mine never does that.

But you see the cromwell bios so that's good.

You're going to have to get a new bios.  You'll find that in the usual places

You're looking for the X-chip 1.1 bios.

You'll need to write that bios on to your chip by the X-control software.  Which you can find at http://www.easybuy2000.com

You use the software by connecting the X-chip to your computer by usb cable.

Get Avalaunch, it's a great dashboard, and it'll let you do what you want on your xbox.  Find an installer for it from http://www.x-disk.com.  You're looking for Ava_X_net 1.5 or something like that.

well after i write them to the chip? flash? Im trying to understand the whole process. Now im taking one step at a time, after my comp. stated it was recovering from some serious damage. Had to re format

I read a little more and so when you load 1.1 on the xflash, then you write settings, but where do the buttons and load into the bank come to play. I know im making harder than it is.

If you load Evox 1.1 as is.......you get M8 booted automatically when you power xbox, you can change boot up options in two places:

1) Using Evox 1.1 on xbox press start when powering up and go into Bios Banks and change options for what bank you wish to boot up or load a bios to and what button you want depressed to activate upon power up.

2) Alternatively enough, you can use X-Control software and change settings as stated in the X-Control manual as well.

But then again if all you want is chip enabled disabled functions, I would not worry to much about mapping other buttons.
